ADVENTURE
Here at the Rambling Man, we focus on small groups with the aim of getting people outside and into our beautiful landscape, to meet new people, see new places, learn new skills and improve overall mental wellbeing and physical fitness.
The pace is generally a steady 2 mph depending on the terrain and there are plenty of breaks included and time to take photos along the way.
Longer walks will include a lunch stop.
All pre planning, route options, navigation and interesting facts are all taken care of, all you have to do is enjoy the fresh air and the scenery!

THE WALKING GROUP
Membership is currently free and joining is easy, simply fill in the booking form and submit! You need to do this for each walk / hike that you would like to book onto. All events are on a pay as you go basis via the on line booking page.
The walks range from Easier, Moderate and Challenging up to ‘A Grand Day Out’ as follows:-
Easier
Up to 3 hours and up to 5 miles. Gentler pace, good paths, less steep ascents
Moderate
4 to 5 hours and 8 to 10 miles. Steady pace, moorland paths, some steeper ascents.
Challenging
5 to 6 hours and 10 to 12 miles. Moorland paths, some boggy pathless terrain, steep ascent aiming for a summit.
‘A Grand Day Out’
Up to 8 hours, 12 miles plus. Ascent to a summit of a big hill, fell or mountain! Mixed terrain with some challenging ascents.
